PET Bottles & Jars
Plastic is all around us. No matter how much we try to underplay it, it is there. From beverage bottles to the insides of our houses and phones- it can be seen everywhere around us. While plastic has countless advances, there is one serious advantage that can not be ignored. And that is, that our excessive usage of plastic has made it an environmental hazard.

As per United Nations data, over one million plastic bottles are purchased each minute. And more than half of them are for only one-time use. While this fact is quite alarming, the only plausible way to manage this is to make changes in our lifestyles and switch to recyclable plastic. Fortunately, PET is here to help us redeem ourselves.
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a plastic resin and a form of polyester that can conveniently be used again. Almost all of the plastic water bottles in the world are procured from PET and most of the plastic Jars as well. It is a raw material for producing packaging products such as containers for packing a broad range of food products and many other consumer goods. It has numerous qualities that make it the plastic bottle king in the world. Some of these qualities include:
- Re-usable
- Featherweight
- Chemically inert- PET jars/containers chemically do not react with food.
- Economical
- Tough
- Shock resistant
- Doesn’t break easily
- Convenient
One of the major reasons for manufacturers choosing PET globally over other types of plastic is because of the fact that they are 100% recyclable and renewal. It can be re-processed again , back into bottles and jars or into automotive parts and textile items.
When PET bottles are given back to the original seller, they are then taken to recycling centers where they are sorted from other products and are sold to recycling companies.
To manufacture plastic PET bottles, the PET is first polymerized to create long polymeric chains. Once the plastic itself has been formed, the bottle production then starts. To ensure quality, multiple quality checks are performed after the production process has been completed to finally establish that the bottles are impervious to carbon dioxide (crucial for fizzy drinks). Other considerations such as patency, toughness, shock-proof, and pressure sustenance are also checked in quality check tests.
NPPP strives towards creating as little hazard as possible to the environment and make our consumers’ plastic demands sustainable. We encourage our customers to opt for plastic PET bottles and help recycle them.
